The division of Israel: Judah and Israel have separate fates. God divorced himself from Israel but not Judah. Therefore, God’s covenant with Judah has not been broken, although they were never truly faithful. I have used passages from Hosea and Zechariah to illustrate what will happen in the end of days. God will grant a spirit of mercy and grace to Judah and Christians (symbolic of lost Israel) will be grafted into the tree.

In Exodus, God reveals himself to Israel and sets up a “marriage contract.” Our marriage process (proposal, contract, consummation, etc.) is an image of God’s marriage to Israel. But in Jeremiah 3:8, God divorces himself from Israel, but not Judah. What does this mean in God’s redemptive plan? Check out part II!
